Well, we are pleased as punch. The guys came today to begin the windows (we’re sitting here thinking the windows are going to take a week) and they installed ALL TWELVE WINDOWS today! I am so excited. This included three windows that we made larger- so the sill height would match all the way around, in a split foyer, most of the time the front upstairs windows all usually match hweigt wise- and then they use shorter windows on the sides and back. Strange right? So we asked if our contractor would be willing to lengthen them and how much- turns out, only an extra 200 bucks. Woot.
Thanks to this years amazing tax credit, we are blowin’ it easy. That’s why we went for the windows and siding. So, needless to say, there’s been a LOT of noise around the house today (which may be the reason for my headache) and I’m very happy that the construction will be finished in less than a week (still waiting for the siding to arrive). So here are the NEW WINDOWS!

This is the new larger window in the guest bedroom
The other side of the guest bedroom
Master bedroom- looks like we’re going to re-arrange the furniture- now that the sill height is lower than our dresser!
Other Side of the Master bedroom- larger windows = lots more light, and for obvious reasons- NEW WINDOW TREATMENTS!
This is the current look of our house. Very Industrial eh? Shows you exactly HOW old our house is when the siding is stamped withJohns-Manville WeatherBrace. Not exactly what they put on new construcion now a days.
This is the office- currently the only room “untouched” with regards to the wood flooring

And the bathroom- for some reason, it seems a lot brighter in every room. Still have to put up the window cling to provide (me at least) some privacy when I take my shower!

I really feel as though the change over lent a LOT of brightness to the house… maybe it’s the white trim instead of the old aluminum?
Best part? THEY ALL HAVE SCREENS, and they FLIP DOWN TO CLEAN! Hooray!!

Hey girl, our friends need a window replaced. If you'd recommend your guy, email me the contact info. (Everyone I know would probably blow them out of the water price-wise! ;-))
